Scales of Sovereignty began around our own table as a homebrew tabletop roleplaying campaign. Somewhere along the way, we stopped simply playing these characters and fell in love with them; their friendships, mistakes, arguments, victories, and the world growing around them. Mythitar became too large to leave at the table. What began as a game became a story we wanted to tell, and eventually a series of novels we wanted to share. Scales of Sovereignty is an epic fantasy series exploring a world shaped by dragons, divided by their legacy, and filled with people who may know far less about their own history than they believe.
Launch Date April 27, 2027
In the quiet village of Briar Glen, the Everlight has burned for generations as a symbol of protection, remembrance, and a covenant almost no one fully understands. But when its light fails and something ancient begins stirring within Thornshade Forest, a mismatched group of travelers finds themselves drawn into a mystery much older than the village itself. What begins as a struggle to save one small community soon reveals forgotten histories, dangerous powers, and the lingering influence of dragons on a world that has spent centuries trying to move beyond them. To restore what has been broken, they will have to decide whom to trust, what the past is truly worth—and what happens when the stories everyone believes are not the whole truth.
Launch Expected October 2027
The journey continues when the adventurers are forced into an unexpected detour—one that brings them face-to-face with a past one of their own has spent years trying to leave behind. As old wounds surface, they begin to uncover signs that Lamythia’s forces are spreading farther across Mythitar than anyone realized. Their path soon puts them against a ruthless leader whose cruelty seems to carry an evil all its own. Defeating him may be difficult enough. Discovering that he is only one piece of something much larger may be worse.
Launching 2028
The third chapter of Scales of Sovereignty is being written at the table right now.
Our current homebrew campaign will become Book Three, which means Patreon members have the rare opportunity to experience the adventure before it becomes a novel. Listen along to campaign sessions, meet the characters in greater detail, see character information and behind-the-scenes material before it is released elsewhere, and watch the story of Mythitar take shape alongside us.
